A worker touches up a section of the Pyramid of Peace. The pyramid measures 203 feet and was built by British architect Norman Foster in Astana, the new capital of Kazakhstan. In 1997 the Kazakh capital was relocated from Almaty to Astana, which simply means capital in Kazakh. It is a futuristic city undergoing intense transformation and construction with over 7 billion dollars invested so far and many more billions planned.
